A Snapshot of Your Day

Siemens Energy is seeking an experienced Master Electrician to support the execution of full turnkey high‑voltage substation projects, delivered entirely in‑house by our self‑perform teams. This role is primarily a back‑office technical leadership position, providing expert electrical guidance, constructability input, and compliance oversight across multiple projects, with periodic travel to project sites as required. You will work closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, Superintendents, Commissioning Engineers, and field employees to ensure safe, code‑compliant, and efficient execution of substation electrical work from design through commissioning.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Serve as the electrical authority for turnkey substation projects, ensuring compliance with NEC, NESC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and local AHJ requirements
  • Provide back‑office technical support to project teams, including review of electrical drawings, input on constructability and installation methods for high‑voltage substations, and support for means and methods, work plans, and installation standards
  • Support commissioning activities, including inspections, punch lists, and turnover documentation
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of standard work practices, installation standards, and safety procedures
  • Participate in periodic site visits to verify installation quality and code compliance, support complex tie‑ins, outages, and energization activities, and assist with issue resolution and field coordination
  • Promote Siemens Energy’s strong safety culture, ensuring all work is planned and executed safely

 

What You Bring 

  • Active Master Electrician license (State or nationally recognized)
  • Minimum 10 years of electrical experience, with significant exposure to high‑voltage substations and EPC substation construction environments.
  • Proven ability to support multiple projects simultaneously in a technical advisory / leadership capacity and willingness to travel periodically to site projects
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and safety management on high voltage sites.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
