A Snapshot of Your Day

The Manager of Fossil Operations will lead the organization that provides Union craft labor to all of the combined cycle and fossil power plant sites that Siemens Energy works on during an annual basis. This role is responsible for over 1 Million craft staff hours worked in the United States. The Manager is the point of contact between Siemens Energy, and the local building trades and will work with the building trades to develop and grow the national work force in support of the power generation industry.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Handle day to day staffing of all fossil fuel job sites.
  • Oversee safety, investigations and discipline on the fossil fuel job sites.
  • Establish relationships with local union leadership.
  • Build and develop the next generation of union craft labor supervisors.
  • Supervise the team of professional who staff, hire and payroll the craft union workforce.
  • Become a subject matter expert on building trades and how Siemens Energy collaborates with UBC and other building trade unions.

What You Bring

  • BS of Engineering or equivalent experience. 10+ years in the construction and maintenance industry.
  • Ability to serve external and internal customers; build relationships!
  • Streamline and modernize both processes and systems.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
