A Snapshot of Your Day
Your day starts with a close look at the Key Performance Indicators related to the shipments being on the way to our customers as well as detailed coordination with the project site team regarding the delivery of heavy lift cargo.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Preparing logistics calculations & crafting intricate transportation strategies for both straightforward and intricate international projects.
- Performing risk appraisals, assessment & feedback on client specifications and contracts, designing project-specific logistics requirements and strategies for international projects of varying complexity.
- Checking project transport contracts & general transport agreements and project requirements in terms of timeline and budget, handling and controlling of less complex international projects as well as checking of compliance with specifications and services (contractual provisions, costs, prices, deadlines, etc.).
- Coordinating the shipping of all kinds of cargo (bulky items, oversized shipments, general goods, standard logistics, etc.) incl. handling budget management, implementing cost-saving strategies, and mitigating risks
- Request for quotation regarding logistics services of international projects.
- Negotiating with forwarders and aligning transport concepts with collaborators and external connections.
- Concluding and finalizing project transport agreements.
What You Bring
- A degree or equivalent experience in business administration or similar, preferably in Logistics.
- Extensive logistics experience required, with emphasis on global initiatives for diverse client needs.
- Experience working in international cross-functional teams, coordinating several internal & external interface partners and extensive logistical & contract law knowledge.
- Experience with risk, claim & opportunity management as well as corresponding process knowledge would be desirable.
- Additional language skills like German are a plus.
- Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Teams SharePoint, etc.), and basic knowledge in SAP.
- High analytical ability, customer & solution orientation as well as social competence, assertiveness and a high organizational & team ability are further elements of your set of skills.
