About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
A wind turbine Site Lead technician’s day typically starts with a safety briefing and a review of the site’s operational status, followed by planning and assigning tasks to the maintenance crew. Throughout the day, they balance hands‑on technical work—such as inspecting turbines, troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues, and ensuring components are functioning safely—with coordination duties like documenting maintenance activities, communicating with operations teams, and managing contractors or permits. They monitor weather conditions, prioritize urgent repairs to minimize downtime, and keep the site compliant with safety and performance standards. The day usually ends with reporting, planning for the next shift, and ensuring all technicians return safely from the towers.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Holding Safety as the first priority in all activities
- Daily reinforcement of Operational Disciplines to ensure exceptional performance
- Coordination with Site Operations Manager and other business partners to expedite topics that directly correlate to site performance and customer satisfaction.
- Driving Key Point Indicators that include; Safety, Performance and Financial targets.
What You Bring
- (HS Diploma with preference of Bachelor Degree or equivalent)
- (2-5 years’ experience in Wind Industry)
- (Knowledge of SAP and Work Order systems preferred)
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
