About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day!
Responsible for the design, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of instrument/electrical systems. Focus is on mathematical modelling of systems of a diverse nature, analyzing their dynamic behavior, and using control theory to create a controller that will cause the systems to behave in a desired manner. May specialize in the design, configuration, and automation of systems. Specialization Match Note: Engineers specializing in the design, configuration and automation of systems should be matched to this role.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- This role is responsible for control system scope of rotating equipment project together with other project members and content provider, mainly System Engineering.
- Order related representation of the Instrumentation & Control Engineering. Preparing datasheets, P&ID´s, Single line Diagrams, and wiring Diagrams. This role is responsible for maintaining the data model together with other project members and content provider, mainly System Engineering in COMOS PT.
- Design and specify Unit Control Systems, Instrumentation, and Low Voltage Wiring systems which compliment Rotating Machinery used in Industrial Applications - namely compression, power generation and Oil-Gas. Design drawings including P&I diagrams, instrument lists, control logics and description, control panel layout, I/O termination, control panel power distribution, instrumentation installation, motor control schematics, hardwired control circuits.
- Incorporates Siemens Energy design standards and guidelines and adapts the assigned scope to meet project-specific requirements, due to Customer Specifications and follows international standard requirements.
- Monitors and manages the engineering schedule and hours-budget for the assigned scope, including on-time release of deliverables.
- Support detail engineering in cooperation with internal and external Customers.
- Conducts timely design reviews on the assigned scope and contributes to project design reviews.
What You Bring.
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree in discipline (Instrumentation/Controls/Electronics), Diploma (State-certified technical engineer) with relevant experience.
- 8+ years of experience in Rotating Equipment for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and other Process Industry applications, achieved through working on Industrial Applications Products in Controls and Instrumentation Engineering are preferred.
- Experience in Electrical Equipment Engineering shall be considered.
- Experience in Services - Installation & Commissioning Engineering shall be considered.
- Application experience with objects oriented Engineering Software e.g., COMOS PT.
- Know-how of standards: API 670 (Machinery Protection System), IEC 60079 (Explosive Atmosphere Standards), DIN EN 60617 (Graphic Symbol Standards) .
- Good Analytical & Cross-cultural skill set.
Proficiency in English Language
