About the Role
Snapshot of your day
The Investments and Public Financing is responsible for the management of Siemens Energy Investments in the benefit of all Business Areas partnering with the respective Project Development, Sales and Business Development teams, as well as engaging with other corporate functions (e.g. Accounting, Legal, Compliance, Taxes, etc) to ensure a profitable, risk minimized and compliant project development and/or investment!
How you'll make a difference
- Take ownership in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and reports for the global costs of the Development Teams of the Business Areas.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting of current and new project development and investment activities.
- Collaborate with the Business Areas’ Heads of Controlling to budget and forecast relevant financial benchmarks (P&L and Balance Sheet).
- Apply reporting tools (e.g., EPM+) to support governance processes.
- Conduct detailed analysis of portfolio impacts on overall financials with mentorship from Asset Controllers.
- Ensure alignment with other controlling units within SE’s Business Areas and support functions.
- Assist in financial audit requests related to investment activities.
- Take ownership to quarterly ADSTAR reporting
- Provide assistance to project development teams in the Business Areas with information required for Salesforce.
- Help prepare communication and reviews for top management regarding Business Areas/Support Functions.
- Assist in controlling and reporting of public financing engagements (e.g., usage of negotiated state-backed financing/guarantee lines).
- Support forecasting and reporting of relevant KPIs in collaboration with the Financing Manager and SE TCF GDI’s forecasting team to ensure the availability of needed public financing support and report on its impact on SE’s financials.
- Help prepare decision-relevant documents for SE Top Management.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics/Finance or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in controlling functions
- Experience in investment/financing environment preferred
- Curiosity about the global Power and Financing Industry
- Proficient in Microsoft products (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint), SAP and EPM+
- Languages: Proficiency in English is required; proficiency in German is preferable
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with a focus on teamwork and self-motivation, as well as analytical skills
- Experience working in cross-functional and distributed team environments is a plus
