Snapshot of Your Day

This is a very important role and dynamic position that is charged with constantly ensuring a robust and productive supply chain from the factory to the customer. Hands-on with the planning, control, and replenishment of finished goods inventory in the warehouse to meet sales and distribution demand. Proactively works with the factories and support services to ensure a steady pipeline of products. Coordinates with the needs of the sales organization and customers to provide world class order service.



How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Analyze inventory levels, inventory replenishment, planned production, and demand forecasts, to optimize service levels and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain inputs to the inventory system, including safety stock levels, lead-times, cost and delivery expectations, past and future seasonal events, and new product introductions.
  • Coordinate with traffic, production planning, and warehouse personnel to ensure the appropriate routing, timely scheduling, accurate receipt, and storage of goods.
  • Work with offer management, manufacturing, engineering, field sales, and customers, as needed to align demand with production and to anticipate future needs.
  • Provide information in support of Customer Service and Contract Administration functions, with regard to product availability, inbound delivery schedules, and possible product substitutions when applicable.
  • Generate reporting that snapshots inventory and production needs, fulfillment performance, on-time delivery, and factory performance.

What you bring

  • 4-year college degree, preferably with a STEM focus and discipline
  • 2-5 years experience in a warehousing or supply chain function.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Results-oriented with the desire to take the initiative and ownership of assigned tasks and projects and drive them to closure.
  • The ability to adapt, multi-task, and work under pressure, sometimes having to deal with tight deadlines and high demands.
  • Experience with MS Office, SAP, and Salesforce.com a definite plus.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
