A Snapshot of Your Day

Join our dynamic team as a Lead Industrial Steam Turbine (IST) Technical Support Engineer (TSE) and take charge of coordinating engineering activities while interfacing with both external customers and suppliers. You will directly report to the Technical Support Manager or Euro Project Manager, ensuring that you provide essential support to Field Service Engineers with documentation and engineering reviews. Imagine being at the forefront of planning and executing maintenance outages for Steam Turbines, Gearboxes, and other critical equipment, all while collaborating with a global team to enhance our service offerings.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You will interface with external customers and internal suppliers to ensure seamless communication and project execution.
  • Coordinate engineering activities and support Field Service Engineers with necessary documentation and engineering reviews.
  • Review Field Service Reports and assist in estimating, quoting, and planning for field service activities related to outages on Rotating Equipment.
  • Collaborate with Siemens Engineering, Project Managers, and Resource Coordinators to plan and execute outage activities, delivering essential tools and manpower plans.
  • Attend customer meetings to discuss and present outage scope of work, schedules, and proposals, ensuring clarity and alignment.

What You Bring

  • A BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience on SST-300 – SST-900.
  • 5+ years of industry experience; steam turbines preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and strong verbal and written communication skills; additional language skills are a plus.
  • A global mindset with strong intercultural sensitivity and the ability to work independently in a multicultural environment.
  • A positive can-do attitude, capable of prioritizing activities in a fast-paced environment with competing demands.
  • Experience in project management and a willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings.

This role may be based in various locations across the United States. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits, including paid time off and holiday pay. For positions based in the United States, the base salary range is $96,000- to $151,000 and the annual incentive target is 10% of base salary. 

Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
