A Snapshot of Your Day
In our HVDC Systems Team, we are testing and verifying the hardware and software for our innovative HVDC Projects in our Test Center and ensure proper functionality and good quality of our HVDC Plants worldwide during commissioning. Our diverse and multinational teams are working closely together with project management, engineering as well as with end customers to provide customized solutions based on the latest innovations in HVDC technology.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You contribute to Execution and documentation of Functional Performance Tests (FPT) and Dynamic Performance Tests (DPT) of our C&P Hardware and Software including Customer Acceptance Tests at our Test Center in Germany
- You are responsible for Planning, execution, and evaluation of workshop tests for C&P Hardware at our sub-suppliers factory (acceptance tests)
- You are responsible for preparation and executing of testing procedures for the System Open Loop Control
- You are responsible for technically flawless commissioning of HVDC systems on site in due time, including testing of associated HV primary components and secondary systems
- You support of Commissioning Management in Quality, Risk and Claim Management
- You participate in improvement programs (e.g. Lean, Reviews and Lessons Learned)
What You Bring
- Completed degree in electrical engineering, energy technology or comparable education / qualification/ or Certified Technician
- Good knowledge in one or more of the following areas: grid protection systems / protection relays & BCUs (DIGSI / Siprotec V4/5), testing via MATLAB/SIMULINK, Siemens SIMATIC TDC/S7, CFC.
- Knowledge or ideally working experience in the field of Electrical Engineering and Commissioning of Electrical Power Stations or HVDC Systems
- Knowledge in Current- and Voltage Measuring devices and other primary equipment
- Fluent English and German language skills
- Willingness for worldwide business trips and mainly long-term assignments on construction sites in Germany and abroad, as well as optional assignments on offshore platforms
- Team-player, communicative, proactive, positive handling of conflicts, decision-making capability
