A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Strategic Procurement Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient sourcing and supplier management to support the operational performance of the GIS factory in Dammam. You will be responsible for securing supply chain reliability, driving cost optimization, and implementing long-term procurement strategies aligned with global and regional objectives.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including operations, R&D, and global procurement to ensure business continuity, supplier performance, and continuous improvement.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Ensure timely sourcing of materials and services to meet project demands, securing qualified suppliers with optimal cost, quality, and capacity
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives through negotiations, localization, supplier reallocation, and engineering improvements
  • Monitor and improve supplier performance, including On-Time Delivery (OTD), First Pass Yield (FPY), and capacity management
  • Manage daily supplier relationships and negotiations to ensure supply chain stability and flexibility
  • Execute supplier development strategies aligned with global and regional procurement objectives
  • Increase localization rates, develop second-source strategies, and allocate business to high-performing suppliers
  • Collaborate closely with R&D teams to support new product development, including early supplier involvement, DFx analysis, and supplier sourcing
  • Support cost optimization initiatives such as VAVE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering) projects
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with Siemens Energy policies, standards, and integrity principles
  • Leverage digital procurement tools to improve efficiency, data accuracy, and overall sourcing performance
  • Stay up to date with digital trends and support the implementation of new tools and systems

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement within a relevant industry
  • Experience in managing electrical or drive-related commodities is a plus
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings, particularly casting and machining components
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Proficiency in procurement tools and digital systems
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); Arabic is a plus
