A Snapshot of Your Day

In this influential and dynamic role, you will lead the activities of the Grid Technologies Solutions Latin America (GT GS LA) team. Working closely with your team, your responsibilities will include developing and implementing the GT GS strategy and action plan in the region, driving continuous improvements in project execution, fostering collaboration with other Execution Units and Functions, and actively contributing to GT's growth target. Your role is instrumental in making GT GS a value creator for the Business Area and contributing dynamically to GT discussions and topics. Success in this role requires strong collaboration, communication, and partnering skills, outstanding stakeholder management, excellent business acumen, and a solid entrepreneurial, hands-on profile to continue to grow and develop our LATAM business for GT GS.

How You’ll Make an Impact  

  • Develop and implement GT GS LA strategy and action plan to ensure business growth and profitability in the region.

·       Develop and lead business opportunities for HVDC, FACTS, Offshore Wind Systems and Substations by analyzing market trends & investments in Latin America.

  • Position the business as a strategic partner with major customers, further developing customer loyalty and satisfaction while identifying business needs, market potential and innovative strategies for long-term success.
  • Effectively manage the GT GS Latin America organization to achieve the planned financial performance, building on collaboration with other Execution Units and Functions, and making GT GS a value creator for GT.
  • Actively develop a diverse and competent team capable of working globally across regions and hubs, effectively working on service activities.
  • Ensure the highest standards of safety and business integrity by actively supporting our Zero Harm program and living our compliance culture.
  • Support the global strategy of GT and GT GS and be an active part of the GT GS leadership team.

What You Bring 

  • Education in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, and/or Management.

·       Proven experience of at least 10 years in business management, project management, consulting, finance, marketing, or sales.

  • Knowledge of the Transmission and Distribution market.
  • Technical knowledge and business operation experience / knowledge of common technologies related to Grid Solutions such as HVDC, FACTS, Offshore Wind Systems, Substations.

·       Excellent stakeholder management skills at all organizational levels.

  • Leadership experience in managing international teams and multiple interfaces.
  • A strong set of personal skills that support building a network, developing people, culture, and organization combined with a mindset of proactiveness, innovation, and teamwork.
  • Eagerness to consistently meet and exceed commitments/objectives while taking ownership of complex challenges.
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English. Other local languages are a plus.
