How to contribute to our vision
This Professional role is an addition to the Control & Protection engineering team to support the HVDC LCC Refurbishment portfolio projects. The primary business aim is to establish foundational expertise in DC Control and DC Protection to ensure successful project delivery and future growth in this area. To meet this objective, the position is structured around two core areas: Engineering Support & System Implementation and Technical Documentation & Learning. This approach ensures the individual provides immediate value by assisting with fundamental project tasks while systematically building the specialized knowledge required for HVDC systems under close supervision. Given the focus on foundational development, the ideal candidate will possess a relevant engineering degree and a strong theoretical understanding of control systems and power electronics. This role is designed for a recent graduate or early-career professional who will apply their academic knowledge to practical engineering challenges within a supervised, structured learning environment.
What You Need To Make a Difference
- 60% Engineering Support & System Implementation
- Assist senior engineers in the basic design and configuration of HVDC control and protection systems based on project specifications.
- Creating Feature models, Deeveloping concepts in form of overviews and Specification for Pole control, Bipole Control and Station control in HVDC LCC technology
- Support the creation and modification of engineering drawings and schematics, such as logic diagrams and single-line diagrams, using standard software.
- Participate in the execution of predefined test cases for control system modules under direct supervision.
- Help gather data and perform initial analysis for troubleshooting simple system issues as guided by senior team members.
- Develop and Deliver the features for HVDC LCC projects in form of specifications, software and testing
- 40% Technical Documentation & Learning
- Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, including design documents, test procedures, and reports.
- Review project requirements and technical specifications to develop a foundational understanding of HVDC systems.
- Document findings from investigations and assigned tasks to contribute to the team's knowledge base.
- Actively engage in formal and on-the-job training to build expertise in DC control, protection philosophies, and relevant engineering tools.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong theoretical understanding of control systems, power electronics, and electrical protection principles gained through academic coursework or internships.
- 2- 4 years of Experience in relevent Fiel
