Global Payroll Process Owner

A Snapshot of Your Day 

As part of a wider HR transformation program and the spin-off of Siemens Energy from Siemens, the payroll operating model moving forward will be fully comprehensive, split between a professional HR BPO for zero to gross processing and managed payroll (gross to net) with industry leading payroll providers. We are looking for a Global Payroll Process Owner responsible for overseeing the overall end2end payroll process working alongside a global and diverse team of senior payroll leaders, global experts and external stakeholders ensuring and maintaining fit-for-purpose processes, governing end-to-end delivery in a timely and accurate manner.

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Lead a team of 5+ specialized colleagues within the Payroll Center of Excellence, reporting directly to the Global Head of Payroll at Siemens Energy
  • Drive Siemens Energy's HR transformation by streamlining system landscape, reorganizing payroll set-up, and changing HR delivery model
  • Provide strategic guidance to the Payroll leadership team, advising on payroll strategy implementation and exploring new opportunities
  • Oversee global payroll processes from end-to-end, continuously improving procedures, ensuring compliance with local laws, and approving standardized process documentation and local deviations
  • Collaborate with HR Systems team to lead digital payroll transformation, automating processes, optimizing HR systems, and driving efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Implement controls for consistent and SOX compliant payroll solutions, adhering to country-specific laws and regulations
  • Work closely with IT, Finance, and external vendors on system design, improvements, and integrations
  • Establish and monitor process-related Key Metrics, analyze advanced payroll and time reports, and manage audits and compliance reviews globally.
  • Lead country payroll projects aimed at harmonizing processes, policies, and systems across the organization, ensuring alignment with global standards and policies
  • Manage third-party payroll performance, identify improvement opportunities (e.g., process automation), and implement risk mitigation strategies within a global governance framework
What You Bring
  • Long term global experience in HR and Payroll Operations leadership, including vendor management
  • Experience in managing international payroll teams
  • Proven ability to implement and streamline in-house as well as outsourced end-to-end payroll projects and processes
  • Knowledge of processing payroll for international entities and good understanding of continuous improvement approaches
  • Collaborative style, happy to interact with many stakeholders e.g., in HR Centers of Competence and HR in the Regions, IT department, Finance department, management
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team, leading through building trust and empowering teams to deliver successfully.
  • Thrive in a global environment, working flexibly where required
  • Proficient English skills

In this role you will be working within the Human Resources function – People Systems and Services Payroll, a truly global and diverse team of specialists with an open mindset, responsible for ensuring Siemens Energy payroll is compliant, accurate, timely and fit-for-purpose, with a clear governance & risk management approach and working closely with our HR Services team to safeguard end-to-end delivery while promoting Siemens Energy digital transformation.
