    Global Payroll Expert for Internal Audit & Compliance

    A Snapshot of Your Day 

    As part of a wider HR transformation program and the spin-off of Siemens Energy from Siemens, the payroll operating model moving forward will be fully comprehensive, split between a professional HR BPO for zero to gross processing and managed payroll (gross to net) with industry leading payroll providers. We are looking for a Global Payroll Expert for Internal Audit & Compliance to play a vital in ensuring our payroll processes are at all times audit-ready and compliant. Working alongside a global and diverse team of senior payroll leaders and specialists ensuring and maintaining fit-for-purpose processes, governing end-to-end delivery in a timely and accurate manner.

    How You’ll Make an Impact 
    • Collaborate with regional payroll teams and local business to update Risk and Control Matrix, GDPR compliance, Compliance Framework, Risk Review, and ensure Internal and External Audit/SOX Compliance
    • Analyze payroll compliance, recommend changes based on legislation and company policies, ensuring accurate reflection of information
    • Plan, execute, and supervise internal audits for payroll processes, including pre-implementation reviews and health checks
    • Lead audit projects, assess internal controls, and interact with personnel across the company to evaluate payroll processes
    • Ensure adherence to global payroll standards and policies, implementing a risk identification and mitigation control framework regionally
    • Uphold strong data governance, ensure payroll accuracy, and foster collaboration with related functions such as Compensation & Benefits, Global Mobility, and Accounting
    • Diagram payroll business processes, illustrating inputs, outputs, and flow for clarity and understanding
    • Conduct data analysis to pinpoint risk areas for pre-audit planning and execution, develop compliance metrics, and provide reporting
    • Offer senior management recommendations to enhance payroll processes and internal controls, overseeing project plans for implementation and monitoring improvements
    What You Bring
    • Long term global experience in HR and Payroll Operations or Payroll Accounting
    • Extensive experience in end-to-end payroll processing (including master data, variable inputs built to gross, payroll reconciliations, processing and disbursement)
    • Ability to implement and streamline in-house as well as outsourced end-to-end payroll processes
    • In depth understanding of controls, GDPR and SOX compliance and knowledge of processing payroll for international entities
    • Collaborative style, happy to interact with many stakeholders e.g., in HR Centers of Competence and HR in the Regions, IT department, Finance department and management
    • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team, leading through building trust and empowering teams to deliver successfully as 
    • Thrive in a global environment, working flexibly where required 
    • Proficient English skills

    In this role you will be working within the Human Resources function – People Systems and Services Payroll, a truly global and diverse team of specialists with an open mindset, responsible for ensuring Siemens Energy payroll is compliant, accurate, timely and fit-for-purpose, with a clear governance & risk management approach and working closely with our HR Services team to safeguard end-to-end delivery while promoting Siemens Energy digital transformation.
