A Snapshot of Your Day

Join us as the Gimpel Fleet Technical Support Lead, where you will play a role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of all data related to our Gimpel fleet. Imagine being the central figure who combines deep technical expertise with strategic data management to drive product improvements and support field operations. You will lead the charge in establishing robust data governance standards, overseeing the complete lifecycle of fleet data from its initial capture during repairs to its storage and retrieval within Siemens Energy data systems. By collaborating with various stakeholders, you will ensure that data-driven insights enhance product reliability and streamline technical support processes.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • You will provide advanced technical support for repairs, projects, and customer issues related to the Gimpel fleet.
  • You will ensure the capture, integrity, and accessibility of all fleet operational and maintenance data.
  • You will manage and audit fleet data within company data systems to support product improvements and reliability analysis.
  • You will lead recurring fleet status meetings with Customer Technical Support (CTS) and Repairs teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • You will train technical and non-technical personnel on fleet data standards, system usage, and reporting procedures.

What You Bring 

  • Bachelor of Science in a relevant major (Mechanical Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience in the Fleet.
  • 5+ years minimum experience in the fleet with in-depth knowledge of the Gimpel fleet’s mechanical systems and operations, along with a strong background in electronics. Knowledge of steam turbines design is a plus. Those with more experience may be considered for a higher level.
  • You can communicate complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences, ensuring everyone is aligned and informed.
  • You excel in cross-functional team coordination and have a proven track record of developing and delivering technical training.
  • You have experience in data organization and governance, ensuring data integrity and quality assurance protocols.
  • You are skilled in root cause analysis for complex technical issues, enabling you to troubleshoot valve operation and electronic systems effectively. 
  • Willing to travel 30% of the time domestically and internationally.
