About the Role
A snapshot of your day: As a Financial Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the business continuity for critical, long-term maintenance contracts in France, specifically the Pont-sur-Sambre and Saint Avold projects and overseeing significant financial volumes and to maintain project profitability. Two core areas: Financial Controlling & Reporting and Commercial & Risk Management: from budgeting and forecasting to compliance, while also managing commercial relationships, risks, and claims to safeguard project success.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Financial Controlling & Reporting
- Ensure the accuracy of project books and records, supporting monthly closing activities using systems like SAP and Project Dash.
- Manage all project-related financial reporting and controlling, including the consolidation of budget data and monitoring of Actual vs. Plan comparisons.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analyses, profitability calculations, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making by the Project Manager.
- Optimize project gross profit, cash flow, and assets by managing financial instruments and ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
- Commercial & Risk Management
- Execute comprehensive risk and claim management throughout the project lifecycle in collaboration with the Project Manager.
- Act as the primary commercial point of contact for the customer and coordinate with internal departments such as supply chain management, legal, and tax.
- Support the commercial sales process by preparing offers for local services and contributing to complex Long Term Maintenance Program proposals.
- Ensure project activities comply with all relevant internal and external regulations, including Siemens-FRG, local IFRS, ECC, and RIC.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 2-5 years of proven experience in a Financial or Commercial Project Management role.
- Full professional proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken.
- Expertise in IFRS, French accounting regulations, and proficiency with financial systems like SAP
- Strong analytical and communication skills, customer Relationship Management, critical thinking
