How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Implement assigned internal procedures while collaborating closely with clients and sub-contractors to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain a professional demeanor at all times and actively promote equipment upgrades and modifications tailored to meet each client’s specific needs.
  • Be capable of performing assignments in ambitious conditions and climates and the Field Service Engineer/Representative will be a crucial part of the customer’s onshore/offshore operations team, specializing in the operation and maintenance of Siemens Energy AGT gas turbines and their auxiliaries.
  • Work within customer management systems, including HSE Management Systems, Maintenance Management Systems, and Document and Data Management Systems, ensuring compliance with all required protocols. While on-site, the Resident Engineer will collaborate closely with the Customer Manager to support seamless operations at the facility.
  • Partner with Customer Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Shutdown teams to develop detailed scopes of work and scheduling for both planned and unplanned outages. Drive efficiency by coordinating, planning, executing, and being responsible for turbine-related maintenance activities, bringing to bear vendor, contractor, and customer resources in alignment with customer agreements
  • Take ownership of trips and unplanned outages by identifying root causes and delivering or recommending effective technical solutions. Engage in offshore inspections, routine and non-routine servicing, and shutdowns while collaborating with the Siemens Energy Regional Hub, Global Support Network, and technical support teams to drive efficient issue resolution
  • Work closely with sales and planning teams to formulate time schedules, parts lists, and resource requirements. Actively participate in customer meetings, provide technical expertise during sales efforts, anticipate potential delays, mitigate risks, and support effective claim management.
What You Bring
  • Comprehensive expertise and experience in all service aspects of the Siemens Energy AGT product line. A shown understanding of Siemens products in various service areas and other product lines.
  • Capable of conducting and overseeing general servicing, overhauls, and solving of equipment with minimal mentorship, while optimally engaging with Technical Support to resolve issues
  • For control field service engineers, expertise in gas turbine PLC systems, particularly Prodigy control systems, Allen Bradley RS Logix 5000, GE Fanuc, and FlexiTrend, is highly beneficial.
  • Maintain a positive attitude while interacting with customers and on-site personnel and be willing and able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, in English and proficiency in additional languages will be helpful.
  • Diploma in Engineering or other comparable subjects would be advantageous
  • 5–10 years of experience in field service, technical support, or a project engineering role, with proven track record to lead teams or projects successfully.
