A Snapshot of Your Day

At the start of your journey with Siemens Energy, you'll engage in mechanical training, understand our Zero Harm Program, and become proficient in gas turbine maintenance tools.

Following the completion of this preparation, you will become a part of the Field Service team stationed at the plant. Begin your day as a Jr. Technical Field Engineer with a Zero Harm Program overview and review daily goals with your supervisor. The crew leader will assign specific support tasks and provide clear instructions, including discussing associated risks.

As you head to the machine, you will gather the necessary tools (manual, hydraulic, pneumatic, lifting equipment, etc.) and perform maintenance tasks on the turbine, such as disassembly, cleaning, measurements, inspections, and reassembly. You will document your findings and measurement results in the relevant documents.

Your tasks involve cleaning and coordinating the work area and tools, then meeting your team leader.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Perform hands-on work on rotating machine core engine assembly/repair/disassembly and auxiliary maintenance work
  • Assist in handling spare parts, service tools, installation tools, consumables, and documentation in the project scope
  • Coordinate erection/assembly activities in accordance with valid instructions, check lists, specifications and regulations.
  • Active participation in outage planning meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare and issue detailed reports regarding scope executed, the condition, repairs performed and recommendations for customer equipment.
  • Responsibility to comply and / or enforce the protocols, policies, guidelines, and competencies of the current integral management system (EHS, Quality).

What You Bring

  • University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar (Bachelor’s degree)
  • Professional Experience (1 - 2 years) as a Mechanical Field Service, preferably in gas turbine maintenance or related engineering field with Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software particularly Excel, Word and Project
  • Fluent English writing/speaking for communication.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 80% of time (sometimes required to travel on short notice).
  • Ability to work in team and individual environment. Must have ability to develop client relationships, display excellent listening skills, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Ability to prepare detailed technical reports regarding scope executed, repairs performed and recommendations for customer equipment.

About the team

The selected person will work jointly with the Project management team, commercial and technical teams and other support areas of the Company. The select person will join the Field Service implementation team in Dominican Republic.
