Siemens Energy (SE) are recruiting a Field Service (FS) Controls Engineer to support our global Aeroderivative Gas Turbine (AGT) global portfolio.

The position is within our Global Service Operations (GSO) function, and is based in Budapest, Hungary as part of our AGT Product Competency Centre (PCC) Field Service Team.

A Snapshot of Your Day

In this team you carry out installation and commissioning and preventative and corrective maintenance activities on onshore/offshore on Siemens Energy equipment, on global customer Power Generation and Oil & Gas assets.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Carry out Installation and Commissioning and preventative and corrective maintenance activities on Siemens Energy equipment, on global customer Power Generation and Oil & Gas assets.
  • Produce technical reports, based on work conducted and recommendations required to resolve customer issues, and/or improve system reliability and availability
  • Act as the primary customer interface representing SE on-site.
  • Use diagnostic software, including vibration analysis software and equipment, and be able to provide an engineering solution to improve the performance of the machine.
  • Carry out Controls related diagnostics and troubleshooting for rectification of AGT products both in-field and Siemens Energy control laboratory.
  • Maintain the highest level of safety culture by endorsing company and customer EHS policies and programs.

What You Bring

  • Proven expertise in controls systems, or previous experience of Commissioning Rotating Equipment, including Centrifugal Compressors and Gas Turbines.
  • Knowledge of various controls platforms including Allan Bradley, GE, Bentley Nevada, Siemens, Woodward, ADRE, Gem80, Detronics Fire and Gas, HMI and panel based electrical systems.
  • The ability to interpret piping and installation drawings, general engineering drawings and controls schematics.
  • Knowledge and experience of Compressor and Gas turbine driven engine packages and performance and operation.
  • Knowledge and experience of Root cause and Vibration Analysis.
  • An understanding of control systems and the use of diagnostic software programs.
  • High level of customer understanding and customer focus.
  • high level English language skills

Our expert Budapest Engineering Centre of Competence team - consisting of 120+ qualified engineers – provides services for Instrumentation & Control, electrical and mechanical engineering and now for sales supports. Our competence and operational excellence are key drivers on our journey to the new era of energy. The PCC Field Service team are responsible for providing installation and commissioning, maintenance, modifications, and upgrades and troubleshooting support to our global customer base.
