A Snapshot of Your Day
As part of our Grid Technologies division and the General Manager of our Distribution Transformer factory, you will oversee operations, factory performance, shop floor management, and workforce engagement in a unionized environment. Your role blends strategic oversight, problem-solving, and hands-on leadership to ensure operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
You will drive production efficiency, manage labor relations, control costs, and ensure customer satisfaction in a fast-paced, highly technical environment. You will have overall P&L responsibility, manage operations, quality control, productivity, employee health and safety, and labor relations.
Additionally, you will provide strategic management support to the team in developing and implementing plans for product and process improvements, R&D, and innovation measures.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Responsible for overall strategic plan for customer engagement in coordination with the Sales team and overall sales targets
- Provide leadership and professional development plan for the team and employee engagement.
- Responsible for factory cost optimization measures
- Maintain safety records and ensure compliance with all legislated requirements.
- Improve employee engagement throughout the factory, from the front-line employees, technical team, and managers.
What You Bring
- University degree, preferably in engineering or Business Management / Operations Management with 5 years experience in factory operations and general management, holding a P&L responsibility.
- Shown managerial/supervisory skills to provide value- added leadership and highly motivated teams.
- Strong strategic planning, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple areas simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to lead/coach/mentor and identify training needs for team members.
- Labour relations experience (unionized setting is an asset)
- Very good knowledge of French both written and spoken. This position is in a French-speaking environment but requires fluency in English to comprehend documentation and technical terms from international sources, and to communicate with customers, suppliers, or international colleagues.

Our Grid Technology division enables a reliable, sustainable, and digital grid. Siemens Energy offers a leading portfolio in HVDC transmission, grid stabilization, storage, high voltage switchgears, transformers, and digital grid technology.
Our Trois-Rivières plant manufactures distribution transformers for the North American power grid, working collaboratively within a global company. The management team is motivated, collaborative, and well-balanced.
