A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Product Manager for Switchgear Tools, your day will focus on shaping and driving a global portfolio of software products that support Siemens Energy’s high-voltage switchgear factories across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. You may start by aligning with factory stakeholders on business needs, then work with agile development teams to translate those needs into clear priorities, user stories, and roadmap decisions. Your work will directly contribute to streamlining offer, order, engineering, and R&D processes, helping global teams deliver engineering solutions more efficiently and consistently. You can expect to work in an international, collaborative, and agile environment where technical expertise, stakeholder engagement, ownership, and continuous improvement are essential to creating value for Siemens Energy and its customers.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Own and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for global switchgear engineering tools.
- Identify user needs and translate business opportunities into innovative product features.
- Align stakeholders, factory users, and agile teams, ensuring clear priorities and communication.
- Convert global requirements into actionable features and manage backlog prioritization based on value.
- Oversee development and delivery through Agile Release Trains, ensuring quality, cost, and timeline targets are met.
- Manage releases and continuous improvement through user feedback, performance analysis, and global standardization efforts.
What You Bring
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or another related technical field.
- Significant experience in product management, especially with technical software, enterprise applications, or engineering tools in an agile environment.
- Strong ability to define product strategy, manage roadmaps, prioritize backlogs, and connect product decisions to business value and strategic alignment.
- Experience working as a senior professional, with the ability to manage complex projects and processes independently and with limited supervision.
- Solid understanding of engineering applications, engineering design processes, and the needs of technical users in a global manufacturing or factory environment.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering, high-voltage products, switchgear technology, or the energy sector would be a strong advantage.
- Experience working with agile development teams and Agile Release Trains, with the ability to guide priorities and support value delivery across teams.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to facilitate communication, product demonstrations, technical presentations, and alignment across different regions and cultures.
- Analytical thinking, accountability, collaboration, and influencing skills to bring together business, engineering, and development perspectives.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with motivation to improve workflows, develop processes, manage risks, and create scalable tool solutions for global users.
