About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
Step into a role where your work directly impacts the future of renewable energy. As a engineering Student Worker focusing on Tools and Models at Siemens Gamesa, you will work hands-on with MATLAB or Python to update and develop scripts used for reporting and controller tuning. You will also help build and refine models that deepen our understanding of wind turbine behaviour. This position gives you the opportunity to apply your engineering skills in a collaborative and innovative environment, while contributing to real-world energy solutions.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Update and improve MATLAB/Python scripts for generating reports
- Tuning our in house controllers
- Develop models that enhance insight into turbine performance and behaviour
- Collaborate with team members to ensure tools and models are accurate, efficient, and reliable
What You Bring
- Background in mechanical, aeronautical, wind energy engineering, or a related field
- Experience with MATLAB or Python
- Familiarity with LaTeX for structured documentation
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
