A Snapshot of Your Day
By performing preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, you will contribute to our goal to ensure safe and reliable operation of our customers´ plants.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You perform maintenance inspections (preventive or corrective) on customer sites (power plants) worldwide on the following systems and/ or consult & supervise such:
Static Excitation Equipment (SEE) and Start-up Frequency Converter (SFC)
- Siemens Type 6RV30, 6RV80
- GE/ Converteam D3, D4
Generator- / Unit-Protection (Siprotec)
Synchronization Devices (Siprotec)
Commissioning activities (cold & hot commissioning phase) on excitation systems Siemens 6RV80 and GE/ Converteam D4
- Corrective maintenance services will help to get customer systems back to operation in case of an unplanned shutdown.
What You Bring
- You are a certified technician in the discipline electrical engineering, automation technology or mechanical engineering.
- You possess knowledge of plant technology, generators, and excitation systems.
- You have profound experience of at least 5 years in maintenance & commissioning of excitation systems, especially on GE/ Converteam systems D3 and D4.
- Familiar with Generator- / Unit-Protection (Siprotec) and Synchronization Devices (Siprotec)
- High flexibility and willingness for travelling and working on site.
- You are required to travel to different assignments for time periods of usually 1 up to 6 weeks. During these assignments you will live in hotel or sometimes in a camp located nearby the power plant.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
