A Snapshot of Your Day

As part of our Fleet Performance and Solutions Americas team, you will be responsible for supporting a range of exciting and challenging projects that will allow you to develop your skills and make a real impact in the power generation industry. You will play a vital role in supporting the overall global Generator Service Engineering organization, which has a broad scope of responsibility, including order execution, negotiations, and service R&D for an operating fleet of large utility generators. Your day will be filled with diverse tasks, including resolving fleet operational issues, performing detailed root cause investigations, and executing engineering studies.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Execute complex engineering studies, including generator capability and uprate evaluations, that will shape the future of the power generation industry
  • Analyze customer operating data to diagnose forced outages and evaluate overall generator health, enabling us to continuously improve our service offerings. Support commercial partners by conducting fleet studies, performing lifecycle assessments, and communicating with customers to ensure their satisfaction 
  • Participating in root cause analyses and have a direct impact on quality topics
  • Drive our Generator Service Engineering digitalization initiative, ensuring that our team is at the forefront of technological innovation
  • Respond to field issues and customer requests, providing timely solutions to complex problems
  • Travel opportunities (5-15%) to collaborate with customers and team members around the globe

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or closely related. Experience in the power generation industry preferred. Open to new graduates, internship experience preferred.
  • Experience in the design, analysis, and/or maintenance of turbogenerators preferred
  • A passion for problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting, contributing to a positive and innovative work culture
  • Strong communication and technical presentations skills and the ability to interface directly with customers, field personnel, back-office personnel, and management
  • Ability to make quick, informed decisions on a regular basis
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently

Gas Services

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
