A Snapshot of Your Day

As a EQS Specialist (Sustainability) within the Business Area Grid Technology (GT), you are responsible for implementing, and driving activities supporting the Sustainability Strategy Core Goals, in particular Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSDR) and Do No Significant Harm (DNSH). You will improve coordination among organizations by developing efficient strategies for establishing key performance indicators and reports. You will ensure alignment with Siemens Energy Sustainability Strategy and identify opportunities for collaboration in sustainability initiatives. 

Being part of a high-motivated and inspired team, the EQS Specialist will also focus on fostering a collaborative and transparent work environment, encouraging team spirit and open communication. This may involve actively participating in team meetings, sharing insights and best practices, and being receptive to feedback and suggestions for improvement.

Overall, a day in the life of an EQS Specialist in GT involves a mix of research, coordination, collaboration, and teamwork, all geared towards advancing sustainability goals and driving positive change within the organization.

 

How you can make an impact:

  • Representing GT in Corporate EQS meetings for Sustainability topics
  • Maintaining, developing and implementing GT Sustainability processes, as required (EU-Taxonomy, CSRD)
  • Providing specialist expertise and guidance to the GT on environmental compliances
  • Acting as Business Area Contact for EQS related topics
  • Delivering and coordinating improvements in line with Strategic Sustainability Goals
  • Building up and maintaining EQS sustainability network in GT
  • Developing and retaining effective relationships with key internal stakeholders to minimise risk
  • Identify and translate sustainability reporting demands into business practice
 

What you bring: 

  • University degree or similar
  • Professional qualifications and experience in Sustainability and/or Environment & Energy Management
  • Good knowledge on sustainability reporting directives (EU-Taxonomy, CSRD)
  • Thorough understanding of relevant Sustainability business concepts and their application
  • Professional qualifications and experience in environmental management (e.g. IEMA)

At Siemens Energy we offer competitive compensation and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. Due to the Austrian legal regulations, we are obliged to state the minimum salary for this position. Please note that there is a clear willingness for a higher compensation considering your individual expectations, expertise and skills. The minimum salary for this position in the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry is in the amount of 55.000 € gross/year for a full-time position (38,5 h/week).
