A Snapshot of Your Day 

As a development engineer you will be part of a global team in a research and development environment. With your experience in mechanical design, you will develop new solutions for traction transformers and support the further improvement of existing products. Your focus will be on doing the development of mechanical designs for traction transformers.  
Your new role as Development Engineer - Mechanical Design Traction Transformers (m/f/d) in Nuremberg or globally - challenging and future-oriented! 

How You’ll Make an Impact 
  • Improving the mechanical design of traction transformers
  • Development/integration of new solutions and design concepts
  • Creating complete electrical designs for traction transformers
  • Documenting and specifying parts, assemblies or complete components
  • Analysis of existing and emerging technical requirements of the traction business
  • Driving innovation (e.g. using new technologies for traction transformers)
  • Responsible for the mechanical design of newly developed solutions
  • Global leadership for all traction transformer factories in your area of responsibility
What You Bring
  • University degree in the field of mechanical engineering with focus on construction design
  • Long standing professional experience with mechanical design
  • Knowledge of the traction business will be beneficial
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a global team
  • Good skills in English and German, knowledge of other foreign language will be beneficial
