Follow department processes, adopt a continuous improvement approach, and ensure all tasks follow relevant standards while assisting in business improvement initiatives.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Develop a clear understanding of our manufacturing, qualification and testing equipment, and our customers both internal and external.
- Deliver technical solutions to assist with the manufacture of our businesses products under the guidance of senior team members. Generate designs and associated documentation.
- Understand, learn, and follow our department processes. Adopt a continuous improvement mindset, identify process bottlenecks and areas for optimisation. Assist in business improvement initiatives when requested.
- Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with the relevant processes.
- Development of equipment and tooling concepts, considering design for manufacture, cost, assembly and reliability. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to gather requirements and refine concepts.
- Create accurate detailed technical drawings and models for components and assemblies. Assist in the creation of procurement specifications and supplier discussions. Perform calculations and design analysis to ensure integrity.
What You Bring
- Proficiency in design software (2D & 3D CAD) and file management tools (e.g. Teamcenter).
- Good understanding of Engineering Principles.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing techniques.
- Demonstrated experience in an engineering environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Mechanical Engineering HNC or equivalent experience.
