How You'll Make an Impact
  • Development: Be a pro-active learner. Embrace a continuous professional development mindset.

  • Business & Equipment Knowledge: Develop a clear understanding of our manufacturing, qualification and testing equipment, and our customers both internal and external.
  • Innovation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate concepts into practical design solutions, ensuring seamless integration of various aspects.
  • Technical Responsibility: Deliver technical solutions to assist with the manufacture of our businesses products under the guidance of senior team members. Generate designs and associated documentation.
  • Process & Improvements: Understand, learn, and follow our department processes. Adopt a continuous improvement mindset, identify process bottlenecks and areas for optimisation. Assist in business improvement initiatives when requested.
  • General: Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with the relevant processes. Checker responsibility for documentation and calculations.
  • Concept & Prototyping: Development of equipment and tooling concepts, considering design for manufacture, cost, assembly and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and refine concepts.
  • Detailed Design: Create accurate detailed technical drawings and models for components and assemblies. Assist in the creation of procurement specifications and supplier discussions. Perform calculations and design analysis to ensure integrity.
  • Productionisation: Collaborate with Product Design teams to assist with optimising designs for production.

What You Bring
  • Proficiency in design software (2D & 3D CAD) and file management tools (e.g. Teamcenter).
  • Good understanding of Engineering Principles.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience in an engineering environment.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Mechanical Engineering HNC or equivalent experience.
