A Snapshot of Your Day

You will work in an Agile team environment where you contribute to building and maintaining data pipelines, applications, and analytics solutions that directly support finance operations.

Your day involves collaborating with teammates during stand-ups, refining code through reviews, developing Python-based transformations, and supporting BI solutions. You will leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, enhance code quality, and accelerate delivery.

You will gain exposure across the full data stack, including backend data pipelines in Snowflake, Python automation, and frontend applications in Power BI and Streamlit, while continuously developing your technical and business understanding.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Build and maintain data pipelines in Snowflake using SQL and Python
  • Support Python-based ETL workflows and migration from legacy tools
  • Contribute to data modeling and ensure clean, well-documented datasets
  • Support development of Power BI and Streamlit data applications
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to improve coding, testing, and documentation
  • Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders in Agile sprints
  • Follow GitLab best practices including version control, code reviews, and testing


What You Bring

  • Working proficiency in SQL for data querying, transformation, and modeling
  • Foundational Python skills for data manipulation, scripting, and automation
  • Exposure to cloud data platforms (Snowflake preferred or equivalent)
  • Basic experience with Power BI or similar BI tools
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git or equivalent)
  • Exposure to Streamlit or Python-based data applications is a plus
  • Understanding of SAP data structures (S/4HANA, EPM+, SAP Analytics Cloud) is an advantage
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar)
  • Curious and growth-oriented mindset toward adopting AI in software development
  • Interest in finance data and understanding business context behind analytics
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders and translate requirements into solutions
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and sprint-based delivery
  • Strong documentation practices and attention to detail
  • Excellent written English communication skills in a global team setup
  • Collaborative mindset with eagerness to learn and grow
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or related roles (internships included)
  • Strong learning mindset with commitment to continuous improvement

You will be part of the Siemens Energy Digital Finance team, working on transforming finance operations through automated, AI-powered data and analytics solutions. The team operates globally across multiple locations in an Agile setup, delivering modern data products that replace manual processes with intelligent insights.

The environment is highly collaborative and focused on innovation, with strong mentorship from senior engineers and opportunities to work across the full data stack. You will grow within a transformation journey that emphasizes modern engineering practices, AI-assisted development, and continuous skill development.
