A Snapshot of Your Day

As a member of SE Customs team in Portugal you will actively contribute to the fulfilling of the customs compliance responsibilities Therefore, you are part of a team within our European network where you can bring in our gained expertise and communication skills on daily basis.

How you and your Team will make an Impact

  • Transit Procedures
  • Preparing (/export/import) customs declarations, namely ensuring the following:
  • All the relevant data is available, correct and properly documented
  • The use of the most adequate and (economically) efficient customs procedure
  • Accuracy of the customs value (e.g., checking the documentation and the internal SAP PO-Orders)
  • Correctness of the preferential documentation and properly file for future customs audits.
  • Lodge the customs declarations towards the customs authorities in our MIC customs system
  • Error processing in our systems (MIC and SAP), editing the file transfers and, also, creation of manual templates if needed.
  • Monitor and control the customs clearance procedures until conclusion.

What You Bring

  • Background and practice in the field of customs
  • At least 2 years of experience in customs processes (import, export, customs classification, preferential/non-preferential origin determination, Intrastat))
  • International experience (work in international teams, work abroad) is a definite plus
  • Experience in customs/ERP IT systems such as SAP, MIC
  • Fluency in Spanish and English. German skills would be a plus
  • Responsibility, organization, communication and assertiveness skills are valued attributes.

In this role you will follow the internal rules and regulations as established by your organization and the relevant legal entity you work for.

While performing your tasks, you always have an open mind to identify and report room for improvement and process flaws.

You actively participate in team growth efforts.

Your direct reporting line will be located in Portugal, too.
