You will work in a team responsible to classify products with relevant customs information and to determine the origin of products
How You’ll Make an Impact
In this task you will follow the internal rules and regulations as established by your organization and the relevant legal entity you work for.
You and your team colleagues are responsible for:
- Identifying the required information for customs classification and gathering this information from systems and/or colleagues of the relevant departments such as engineering, R&D and other technical areas.
- Analyzing and classifying goods according to customs regulations and taking into consideration technical attributes required for the classification process.
- Analyzing trade documents from suppliers, associations, and other relevant market players to properly identify and document the county of origin of products.
- Calculating and determining the country of origin (preferential and non-preferential).
- Monitoring and controlling those processes.
- Setting the origin of the goods and customs preference calculation for SE products exported to states with which the EU has signed a preference agreement.
While performing your tasks, you always have an open mind to identify and report room for improvement and process flaws. You actively participate in team growth efforts. You report to the team lead Customs classification located in Bucharest.
What You Bring
- At least 1 year of experience in the field of customs classification
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or trade, legal or related.
- Excellent language skills (written and verbal) in Spanish and English are a must.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel) and experience with customs/ERP IT systems such as SAP, MIC, Integration Point, etc. a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Support organization's goals, values, and diversity, business travels of 5-10 %.
