A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Contract Manager in the Project Entity group, you will support the execution of contracts pertaining to the sale and service of Siemens Energy’s portfolio. The selected individual will perform a full range of contractual services during the execution phase of the contract management life cycle. The successful candidate will work independently and as a member of a regionally based multidisciplinary team concurrently engaged in multiple projects.
Your primary task is the contractual and legal support in the field of commercial contracts during the execution of national and international large-scale projects (EPC) by means of analyzing contracts, identifying contractual risks, drafting and negotiating agreements, documenting, defending and enforcing claims, and advising and supporting project and site management in the large project business.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Draft, review, analyze, modify, and negotiate contractual documents, change orders, and amendments for existing projects in execution.
- Handle claims and support potential settlements.
- Summarize risks for review and approval by management.
- Providing advice/recommendation and interpretation of contract requirements, obligations, and risk exposure to the applicable business partners.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, business administration, or other relevant degree. Advanced degrees in Business or Law are preferred but equivalent experience is acceptable.
- 2+ years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate in-house position.
- Demonstrated success in handling complex contracts, able to handle multiple projects at the same time and claim management.
- Self-driven individual with the ability to formulate logical and pragmatic approaches and make effective recommendations to address complex issues.
- Strong negotiations skills with the ability to support a matrixed negotiating team. Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.
- Experience with commercial contracts desired. Experience in industrial or energy markets preferred but not required. Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
