About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
The Continuous Improvement Lead for the Winston Service Center Factory is responsible for driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the facility. This role will focus on finding opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency improvement across all manufacturing operations. The Continuous Improvement Lead will work with multi-functional teams to implement effective practices, provide training, and ensure that improvement initiatives align with the overall business strategy.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Process Analysis and Improvement: Conduct thorough assessments of current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies for developing and implementing process improvement initiatives.
- Project Management: Lead and manage continuous improvement projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and measurable results. Develop project plans, set objectives, and track progress against critical metrics.
- Training and Development: Design and deliver training programs for employees at all levels to promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Mentor and coach team members in Lean and Six Sigma principles, tools, and techniques.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, quality, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment on improvement initiatives and share best practices. Facilitate workshops and Kaizen events to engage employees in problem-solving and process improvement activities.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, measure performance, and support decision-making. Prepare and present reports on continuous improvement initiatives, outcomes, and recommendations to management.
- Sustainability and Standardization: Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and sustainability of improvements. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes and make adjustments as necessary.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing or operations, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Proven experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies; certification preferred.
- Experience with Gas Turbine Blades & Vanes, Ceramic Coating, Conventional & Non-Conventional Machining, Laser Drilling and Repair Processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Project management experience, with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and continuous improvement software/tools.
