How You Can Make an Impact:

• On-Site Construction Management & Execution
  • Lead and manage all on-site activities for major industrial construction projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budgets (on-site construction management for new & complex industrial build projects in Austria)
  • Oversee contractors and execution teams to guarantee compliance with Siemens Energy's quality standards, sustainability guidelines, and safety protocols.
  • Monitor project progress, conduct site inspections, and resolve any on-site issues to maintain project momentum and quality.
  • Ensure all construction activities adhere to local Austrian legal and operational requirements.
• Project Planning, Strategy & Risk Management
  • Define project scope, establish strategic execution plans, and oversee the entire project lifecycle from design and tendering to contractor selection.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks (financial, schedule, quality) to prevent delays and cost overruns.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
  • Support sustainability initiatives by integrating energy efficiency measures and pursuing green building certifications.
• Stakeholder Management & Digitalization
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and facilitate collaboration between internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and local authorities.
  • Manage communication with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring alignment on project goals and milestones.
  • Partner with the Digital Acceleration team to implement and optimize digital project management tools and processes.
  • Coach and review the work of lower-level professionals or team members involved in the project.

What You Bring

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, MEP Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of professional experience managing construction projects for industrial facilities, preferably in an international context.
• Specialized expertise in construction management for industrial facilities.
• Proven experience in managing large projects, strong stakeholder communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for success.
• Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) or International Project Management Association (IPMA)
• Very good communication and leadership skills and expertise
• Knowledge of English and German languages - advanced / native level.
