As part of Regional Electrical Engineering team, candidate will provide specialized Electrical Engineering Support

How You’ll Make an Impact

·         Engineering and Technical Support: Provide support for operations, sales, proposals, and supply chain/procurement; involve engineering scope for aftermarket offers, technical customer discussions, and material dispositions.

·         Advanced Troubleshooting: Focus on electrical systems, especially power converters and grid issues.

·         Wind Turbine Technical Assistance: Support various electrical components including power units, generators, transformers, motors, cables, electrical cabinets, controllers, grounding, and lightning protection.

·         Failure Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis of electrical component failures.

·         Documentation: Create internal and external reports, and revise method statements for O&M personnel.

·         Vendor Support: Support vendor qualification/evaluation.

What You Bring

·         Experience and Expertise: Over 5 years of solid work experience in electrical engineering roles, with a preference for experience in the wind industry.

·         Power Systems Knowledge: Familiar with 3-phase power converters and power units, and strong understanding of electrical power system operation and performance in both steady state and fault conditions.

·         Wind Turbine and Components: Solid understanding of major wind turbine components and functions, along with knowledge of instrumentation, relaying/metering, CT/PT, HV/MV/LV components, and medium voltage switchgear.

·         Technical Skills: Proficient in schematics for control and power distribution systems, single line diagrams, and general knowledge of communication and control systems (SCADA, networks, etc.).

·         Standards and Codes: Well-versed in electrical codes and standards for wind power plants, including IEC, IEEE, NEMA, NERC, FERC, WECC, ERCOT, UL, FAA, etc.

·         Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, capable of working with global teams.
