A Snapshot of Your Day 

Develop, continuously review and implement the strategy for our valves and actuators commodity within the Gas Services - Central. Enable the execution unit to run the business smoothly by de-risking supplier dependencies, ensuring capacities, reducing lead times, reducing cost of supply base and simplifying the execution model.

How You’ll Make an Impact
  • Implement the aligned procurement strategy and adapt where needed to changed boundary conditions 
  • Set and keep the basis for a smooth execution by the business partners (bid/project management, operational procurement) via solid contractual frameworks and price agreements
  • Identify and prioritize levers for value creation (esp. cost reduction, lead time and de-risking)
  • Manage a close cooperation with the relevant functions / partners via the commodity circles (Engineering, Supplier Quality & Development, Cost-Value-Engineering, Operational/Project Procurement)
  • Initiate, define and drive cost-out opportunities
  • Own the supplier relation shipment management of your relevant suppliers and provide different perspectives and challenge the status quo
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s or master’s Degree or equivalent experience in an engineering or business field or similar career track record
  • Long standing experience in procurement, supply chain or engineering as well as strategic and analytical skills to understand challenges/opportunities/implications
  • Innovative mentality with the motivation to create change for the better
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasion skills as well as management of cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of the business we are in, preferably an Engineering degree or equivalent experience, or supply chain experience
  • Proficiency in German (business fluent) and in English
