At Siemens Energy, as a Commissioning Engineer, you will start your day with a team briefing to outline the objectives for the day, ensuring they are aligned with our high-reaching project goals. Your responsibilities will include commissioning turbines, analyzing technical documents, and solving on-site issues. The work you do will have a significant impact on our mission to deliver world-class, balanced energy solutions. How You’ll Make an Impact

 
  • Provide recommendations to customers based on specifications and requirements.
  • Contribute to planning and implementing commissioning activities, supporting, and coordinating installation activities with the Installation Supervisor/Site Manager.
  • Implement commissioning design changes and provide mark-ups for as-built project documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement of process, product, and system design by participating in internal review meetings and providing inputs on commissioning activities.
  • Perform commissioning of turbines during COLD and HOT commissioning phases, from single components to the full system (Turbine and auxiliaries), including functional tests and logic interlocks verification.
  • Identify technical or schedule problems as they occur, take vital actions to resolve them, and bring up challenging issues to higher levels, offering expert advice and technical assistance to support staff and customers.

 

What You Bring

 
  • Bachelor/Master of Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Process), or a High School Diploma and minimum of 4 years of proven experience
  • General understanding of technical equipment and the ability to work with technical documentation.
  • Digital literacy and proficiency in relevant IT applications (Microsoft Office); additional IT skills are helpful.
  • Experience in power plant operations, Oil & Gas operations, or specific Steam/Gas turbine operations and maintenance is an advantage.
  • Proactive, problem-solving attitude with a readiness to take on additional tasks to improve the status quo.
  • Understanding of industry standards for Quality and HSE.
  • Proficient in English (written and oral); other languages are beneficial.
  • Strong analytical skills with an affinity for technology and innovation in the service industry, combined with a proactive and convincing attitude.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure, multitask, and solve problems in a complex environment while collaborating with international teams.
  • Willingness to travel 100% of the time, typically on site for 200 days per year (worldwide projects).
