A Snapshot of Your Day
In order to craft the future for the increased energy demand you prepare long term service offers as well as operation and maintenance offers for region Middle East together with the technical sales and bid management team in close interaction and with regional entities as per client/tender requirements and negotiate contracts until successful signature.
You develop strategies for bids with your technical counterparts, analyze contracts, clarify export and tax regulations, doing calculations and much more.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Collaborate closely with the Technical Sales Manager and the bidding team to draft budgetary and firm bids.
- Take charge of financial and commercial activities throughout the sales phase. From analyzing tender requirements to risk mitigation, you’ll ensure smooth operations.
- Identify, handle, and mitigate risks related to currency, financial security instruments, payment terms, insurance, export control, and customs compliance
- Guide regional colleagues in bid structuring, emphasizing transparent wall-to-wall calculations.
- Manage financial results according to set targets and optimize gross profit, cash flow, and assets in your bids
- Own negotiations for commercial terms and consortium contracts. Collaborate with legal, insurance, guarantee, financing, VAT, and customs departments to secure favorable terms.
- Provide critical input and present projects during internal approval processes (LoA).
- Act as a counterpart and support to the Technical Sales Manager
- Maintain the quality of financial forecasts and overall sales reporting in SFDC
What You Bring
- A degree in Business Administration/Management, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent professional experience
- Long-term experience in commercial bid and sales management, ideally within complex projects related to construction, engineering, energy generation, or transmission
- Proven expertise in bid preparation, contract negotiation, tax compliance, financial reporting, and risk management.
- Solid understanding of Financial Controlling and Management Accounting (IFRS), coupled with experience in reporting systems (MS Office, SAP, SFDC).
- Comfortable working across functions and organizations, connecting with people at all levels.
- Open to new ways of thinking and working in a dynamic business environment.
- Excellent English communication and negotiation skills (Arabic language skills are a plus).
