Commercial Project Function Support at Siemens Energy
In your role as a Commercial Project Support Function you will be mainly responsible Accounts Receivables connected to the execution of maintenance contracts for large gas turbines in Algeria. You will closely collaborate with project teams, maintain effective communication with customers, and deliver insightful reports to management. Your focus areas will be claim and cash management, commercial project support, verbal and written communication with customers. In this role you will be in direct contact with the customer as well as a large variety of internal departments like supply chain management, insurance, tax, legal and logistics.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage Accounts Receivables: monitor and ensure timely collection of outstanding payments from local customers.
- Develop and implement effective collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts.
- Prepare and maintain written correspondence with customers.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues related to invoicing and payments.
- Prepare project-related documentation required for invoicing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Assist projects in preparation and enforcement of external claims.
- Prepare and present reports to Management on Accounts Receivables and collection progress.
- Aid with commercial/financial aspects of projects, including local purchasing.
- Handle customer issues for urgent items, ensuring timely resolution of issues that may impact cash flow.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve customer disputes effectively.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounts receivables management or a similar role.
- Experience in commercial project management and customer contact and negotiation.
- Knowledge of IFRS and Algerian accounting regulations.
- Proficient communication skills with both team members and management during the project lifecycle.
- Ability to build and work with cross-functional/international teams (HUB, Headquarters, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with both internal and external collaborators.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP (ideally SAP).
- Familiarity with rules and regulations – Compliance, ECC, NCM, RIC or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in both French and English, both written and spoken.
