About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
Develops the estimating program and produces estimates based on collected contractual data, financial requirements and the scope of work and services. Analyzes specifications, including scope documents, drawings, blueprints, bills of material, and historical data and calculates project costs using labor and material pricing schedules. Prepares the estimate by the work breakdown structure and code of accounts. Maintains close liaison with and provides necessary input to planning and scheduling. Works closely with cost controllers to monitor project costs and produces preliminary cost curves for client information. Evaluates scope changes, contract values, cost trends impacts, field order and trade-off studies.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Mission
• Responsible for the completion of all finance related matters for project execution and/or Operation.
• Helping the Project Manager in every aspect to achieve project objectives and follow PM standards.
• Together with the Japan Project Management and Operations, you will at the same time have the project gross margin responsibility for the assigned new unit or service business.
Responsibilities:
• Supports the Project Manager or Operation Manager in managing and optimizing targeted financial results with due professional care (e.g. project gross profit, cash flow, assets and financing instruments)
• Ensures correct methodology for evaluation of risk and opportunities as defined in Company guidelines
• Ensures the accuracy of cost and pricing calculations as well as overall project books and records, incl. recording of such in appropriate systems, e.g. SAP
• Prepares commercial documentation for regular project review meetings and ensures the accuracy of the commercial project data (i.e. forecast, margin calculation, cash flow)
• Actively performs asset management, initiates invoicing according to project progress and contractual terms
• Ensures compliance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements
• Ensures the application and the continuous management of financial Guarantees, Bonds and project securities.
• Manages FX risk by ensuring FX cash flows properly hedged
• Performs the credit risk analysis for potential customers, together with Global Procurement for suppliers
• Takes supporting role in monthly financial closing processes.
What You Bring
• Bachelor or above, major in Finance, Accounting, Economics, International Trade, MBA, etc.
• Proficient in both oral and written English ( Proficiency in Japanese is a strong plus.)
• 3+ years’ experience in accounting, financial controlling, etc. with good knowledge of SAP system.
• 3+ years’ experience of managing project or service business, preferably from the Energy Sector (powerplants) or Industry Sector.
• Experience in Multinational Corporate is a plus.
• Good communication skills in a diversified team and cross-cultural environment and Good team player, results-driven and active approach.
