About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)
Siemens Energy is looking for an experienced CNC Water Jet/Fitter/Welder in weld shop at the Deer Park, TX tooling facility. The ideal candidate should have experience with gas/steam turbine generator tooling fabrication. The candidate should possess experience and skill in MIG welding/fabrication and be able to certify under AWS standards upon hiring.
How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)
· Inspect, fabricate, and repair complex tooling.
· Demonstrate the ability to assemble and fit parts.
· Demonstrate ability to operate the CNC Water Jet, fitter welder
· Ability to read and understand drawing requirements.
· Follow through Below the Hook requirements to ensure load certifications are provided and NDE testing has been performed on tooling.
· Support After Hours work to ensure coverage for field service.
· Support gas turbine product activity as needed in the rotor/assembly shop.
What You Bring (requirements)
· High School Diploma
· 5+ years’ experience in a field/shop type environment
· Forklift trained and certified.
· Layout material for drilling/fitting
· Operate CNC Water Jet
· Skill in MIG welding/fabrication
· A PLUS would be passing weld test for MIG, FCAW carbon and low alloy steel
· Manual machining a plus.
· CNC machining a plus.
· Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
