About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buying Professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee key aspects of the procurement process, including material planning, inventory control, and purchase order management to ensure timely delivery. As a member of the team, you will support all business units in procurement and supply chain matters, ensuring all commodities are delivered on time. You will address accounts payable, discrepancies, resolve invoice and receiving issues, and proactively handle material shortages. Additionally, you will collaborate on quality-related matters and attend daily production meetings to support smooth and efficient operations. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining seamless workflows and ensuring uninterrupted production processes.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Material Master Data and MRP analysis: Manage safety stock, material consumption, and inventory control.
- Purchase Order Management: Create, issue, and follow up on purchase orders; process Purchase Order Requisitions for pricing or issuance in accordance with required strategies.
- Delivery Management: Monitor and ensure on-time delivery, update delivery dates on purchase orders, and expedite supplier materials both internally and externally to meet production goals.
- Accounts Payable and Invoice Resolution: Resolve accounts payable discrepancies and address basic and complex receiving/invoice issues & Quality and Claims Management: Monitor and resolve issues related to quality topics and claims.
- Inventory Management: Participate in annual physical inventory counts and reconciliation, implement and coordinate min/max inventory strategies, and establish monthly inventory analysis and reduction reports for internal and external parts.
- Compliance: Ensure daily operations comply with established processes, procedures, and Siemens Energy Export Control (ECC) guidelines.
What You Bring
- Proven experience in a similar role with a solid understanding of supply chain and production processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 1-3 years of progressive purchasing experience for direct materials in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in SAP (MM Module) and other Supply Chain Management (SCM) tools including Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel for analyzing and managing purchase order reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Strong problem-solving skills, capable of addressing both basic and complex issues related to receiving, invoicing, and supplier performance.
