About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Buyer, you are part of the energy transition and actively shape it. In doing so, you are in close contact with Strategic Procurement, Manufacturing and Order Management, as well as our logistics service providers. You communicate weekly with suppliers, qualify and evaluate our suppliers and develop them for the converter manufacturing area towards new logistics models.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Responsibility for the material supply (in time and in proper quantity) and in parallel securing the proper stock
- Interaction and close cooperation with the following internal departments: BA, R&D, Quality Management, Order Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Warehousing and externally to Suppliers
- Responsibility for the purchasing/ disposition of electrical and mechanical components
- Preparing and clarifying Material requirements and establishing the respective forecasts and their communication to suppliers
- Creating and monitoring Purchase orders, Securing Order confirmations and delivery dates and evaluation of German and foreign suppliers
- Working with Disposition lists (out of ERP) as well as responsibility for frame contract purchase orders and securing the manufacturing needs
- Securing and checking supplier documentation, such as supplier declarations, certificates of origin, REACH & ROHS declarations and others
What You Bring
- University degree in a business or technical field or training with relevant work experience alternatively
- First professional experience, ideally in the field of (operational) purchasing or logistics
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office and intermediate knowledge of SAP
- Proficiency in English
- Intermediate or advance knowledge of German is an advantage
- Independent working style, as well as a certain affinity for digitalization
- First experiences with Business Intelligence Tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlik, Parse...) are an advantage
- Knowledge of how a manufacturing plant works, could be an advantage
- Willingness to travel
- Availability to work from our Bucharest office 3 days per week, with 2 days remote
