The Bid Manager is one of the key positions in the overall Siemens Energy sales process! You will work closely with a wide variety of colleagues, senior management, and directly with customers to develop technical solutions for our Grid Technology Transmission Turnkey solutions. This role blends technical and commercial expertise, partnering with internal experts and suppliers to develop proposals that meet customer needs

You manage end-to-end the Bid & associated approval process ("LoA") for assigned proposals with the objective of securing quality orders for projects within markets addressed by the Grid Solution Business Unit.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Support the Sales team in the preparation of pre-qualification documentation and request for information submissions as required

• Prepare of the Bid/No Bid documentation and obtain authorization to bid

• Formulate a winning bid strategy in conjunction with Commercial and relevant Sales Manager while considering the overall business targets / strategy

• Establish, manage and monitor tender within approved tender budget

• Liaise closely with Procurement and Commercial functions in managing external supplier / subcontractor enquiries.

• Produce the tender price calculation using approved Calculation Tools to reflect internal cost estimates, supplier/subcontractor prices and margins/recoveries in line with Business Unit targets

• Prepare and compile Bid proposal documentation matching a high quality and compliant with customer requirements / instructions

• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with customers representatives at all levels and remain customer focused at all times.

• Follow-up of tender submission in conjunction with Sales Manager to establish competitive position and compliance with customer requirements.

• Ensure all activities are conducted in a professional and ethical manner and in full compliance with company procedures, protocols, governance etc at all times.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of all Siemens Energy business excellence programmes and actively support / participate as required

• Be ready to be in charge of the Project Execution after contract signature

• Experience in managing bidding process for multi-million euros complex projects

• Proven track record managing bids in international context

• Strong leadership qualities and team spirit are crucial

• Ability to make independent decisions and recommendations to management

• Competitive “will to win” and appetite for introducing innovative ideas

• Challenges-oriented, Proactive and self-starter approach to all tasks

• Professional and rigourous attitude combined with appropriate behaviour, respect & dignity

• Committed on results at any times

• Ability to build strong internal relationships across departments

• Excellent written and verbal french english communication skills & positive “can do” behaviour

• Experience in Energy sector is definitely a "plus"
