Siemens Energy Inc – Grid Automation is searching for an Advanced Bid Engineer to work with a passion for customer engagement and satisfaction. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a strong team offering the best Grid Automation solutions in the market.

As a Bid Engineer, you will support proposal activity for Grid Automation Solutions in a global environment and report directly to Director Tender Management. The role will require close coordination and teamwork with Business Development / Sales / Application Engineering resources globally during the acquisition phase of assigned projects.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Creating proposals for EPC’s (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and end customer within field of Protection and Control system in High Voltage and Medium Voltage (HV and MV) substations and control center including hardware and software scope of supply.
  • Ensuring high-quality and timely preparation of proposals to meet customer requirements.
  • Analyzing customer technical specifications and collaborate with technical experts locally and overseas.
  • Developing, editing, and writing original proposal responses and sales-related documents.
  • Maintaining thorough industry knowledge and understanding customer business goals, operations, and challenges.
  • Validating technical solutions, resolve complex problems, and understanding the Transmission Utility market.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Control System Engineering or related field.
  • 5 or more years of bid experience in substation control and protection system in energy transmission and distribution. *Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
  • Strong understanding of the power distribution / transmission market and technologies, mainly in protection and control and HMI (Human Machine Interface) solutions, SCADA and Cybersecurity.
  • Prior EPC experience and experience working with the utility industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated business insight and customer-centric approach with strong technical proposal skills, effective communication, leadership, and time management in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel up to 20% locally and internationally.
