Snapshot of Your Day:

We are looking for a Business Development Professional Transformers in Raleigh, NC to work in the sales and business development activities within Grid Technologies sales for growing products business.

 

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

  • Responsibility for Large and Medium Power Transformer sales.
  • Lead and communicate with an international team including multiple factory correspondences and collaboration across different business units.
  • Develop strong relationships with key partners both internally and externally.
  • Discuss technical issues with customer to provide a viable solution and clarify the topics about the portfolio.
  • Perform technical presentations about the portfolio to the customers.
  • Manage new opportunities within the business by ensuring that equipment, cost and delivery objectives are met.
  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in conferences and trade shows.
  • Support goals of the company to push transformers to the market which help promote a sustainable future.
  • Working to get the Siemens Energy plants (mainly Brazil) pre-approved to bid, developing new customers, while maintaining satisfaction and loyalty for key accounts.
  • Working with customers/plants (mainly Brazil) regarding customers’ specifications.
  • Working with Siemens Energy sales personnel, customers, Siemens Energy factory personnel and Siemens Energy US transformer team to ensure that Siemens Energy obtains the RFQ, clarifies open issues, completes the proposal and delivers it to the customers on time.
  • Manage proposals, discussion, and negotiation from initial bid to purchase order, taking part in clarification and negotiation meetings to close orders.
  • Complete recommendations for alternatives or changes to complex customer specifications and/or processes to better match Company products to customer needs and to improve productivity.
  • 30% domestic/international travel required.
  • Telecommuting permitted.

 

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and 8 years of experience.
  • Will accept Master’s degree and 6 years of experience.
  • Experience must include 6 years with: engineering skills, in order to understand the full spectrum of the bid phase to support customers with sales;
  • Large and Medium Power transformer sales;
  • Transformer Specification Analysis;
  • Factory specific manufacturing & testing processes;
  • Strategic customer focus and product specification;
  • Customer relationship management & internal factory relationship management;
  • Analyze detailed equipment specifications;
  • Perform technical presentations to customers on Large & Medium Power transformers.
  • 30% domestic/international travel required.
  • Telecommuting permitted.
