We are looking for Assistant Project Manager to join our Gas Services team where you will be responsible for the execution of gas turbine, steam turbine, generator service projects as well as open market service projects in Malaysia.

How You’ll Make an Impact

The Assistant Project Manager provides support services to the Head of Project Manager and the Project Manager group generally with regard to achieving following main areas:

·       Support Project Managers to identify gaps in planning, translate gaps into actionable work plan and drive project planning by service team to meet project objectives.

·       Guide and coordinate project preparation by service team to ensure readiness before outage

·       Ensure timely and adequate deliverables in accordance to project plan and requirements. Timely escalation as required.

·       Coordinate interfaces between project teams, service team and internal support functions.

·       With Guidance from Project Manager, manage project scope, schedule, and cost objectives with support from service team. Identify and control risk in consultation of Project Manager, to identify and realize opportunities for improved project performance and customer value

·       Verify project documentation and quality records are complete and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

·       Support Project Manager to manage, report and closure of NCCs, punch lists, corrective actions, and lessons learned activities.

·       Identify non-compliance/gaps with company procedures, quality standards, contractual requirements, and EHS expectations.

·       Support the Project Manager as the designated deputy, acting as the secondary point of contact for customers.

What You Bring

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
• Good understanding in project management for power generation business or rotating equipment.
• Experience with risk mitigation, and risk and opportunity management strongly preferred.
• Proficient in contract and claim management for power generation projects, including negotiation.
• Good analytical, decision making and communication skills.
• Strong passion in achieving profitable project execution.
• Distinct customer orientation and strong customer interface skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, MS project.  Experience in using project management tools is a plus.
• Availability to travel regularly to project locations, domestically.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
