A Snapshot of Your Day

The Assistant Project Manager will assist with GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) and AIS (Air Insulated Switchgear) projects as part of execution team. The successful candidate work closely with sales, engineering, finance, procurement and construction teams to ensure projects are completed following the business strategy. She further assists project management leads with reporting and tools requirements.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Initially work directly with sales team to meet with customers and understands the expectations, terms and conditions and project requirements.
  • Work directly with project manages and project manager leads daily basis to help implement project goals.
  • Assist project manager and project management leads in all activities related to project including but not limited to scheduling, budget, risk, change, opportunity, NCCs, forecast, correspondences and reporting.
  • Review project implementation and capture data on project execution.
  • Participate in customer and suppliers meeting and draft the minute of meeting.
  • Work closely with cross functional team and take care of deliverables as required per contract under leadership of project manager.
  • Ability to travel as needed, could meet or exceed 30%.

What You Bring

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • At least 3 years’ experience in energy segment or substations
  • Must possess strong communication, leadership, teamwork and customer-facing skills
  • Experience in process improvement, contract management and document & quality management.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with a passion for ensuring projects proceed efficiently and optimally
  • Proven track record to generate and deliver reports that provide useful insight into project details
  • Expert-level experience with computer operating systems and tools as business needs
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Management preferred
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
