About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
Assistant District Service Manager directs technical information and field service resources that are required to install, maintain, repair, analyze and operate power generation apparatuses. The position includes outage preplanning activities, assistance with outage preplanning activities and interface between customers, field engineers and internal Siemens resources! The Farley Project Engineer / Assistant District Service Manager directly supports the Farley District Service Manager / Program Manager.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead and coordinate field service efforts across product lines and districts, ensuring smooth information flow and timely execution of projects with multi-level personnel involvement.
- Support installation, maintenance, and repair operations by providing technical, administrative, tooling, and staffing assistance for turbines, generators, and other power generation equipment across multi-shift teams.
- Manage schedules and resource allocation to optimize corporate and divisional capabilities while fulfilling customer commitments; maintain contact with job sites to monitor progress, anticipate issues, and control job costs.
- Review and contribute to service contracts by evaluating cost estimates, proposals, and customer service programs; offer engineering and administrative insights during customer meetings and jobsite reviews.
- Interpret order specifications to determine job requirements including contract terms, pricing, payment schedules, implementation timelines, and necessary workforce, tools, and materials.
- Serve as a central information hub for unit-specific and general data; assume customer-facing responsibilities and complete special tasks as assigned by the Program Manager.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or related field), or combined equivalent of work experience and education. 5+ years of industry experience.
- Must possess skills in budgeting, conflict resolution, negotiating, influencing, quality centered, action orientation, flexibility and team leadership!
- Proficiency in project management processes and techniques, Siemens field service operations and procedures.
- Strong technical knowledge, skill and experience for outage planning and execution.
- Ability to work in Nuclear Power environments including Fitness for duty testing and security screening.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
