About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of a multi-year factory ramp-up project involving several concurrent workstreams. This role demands strategic oversight, outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to run sophisticated interdependencies. The ideal candidate will lead the project to successful completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met while maintaining strong collaborator alignment.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Comprehensive Project Management: Develop and implement complete project plans, including timelines, achievements, prioritization, and risk management strategies.
- Coordination and Communication: Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, external contractors, vendors, and senior leadership, facilitating clear communication and resolving conflicts.
- Budget and Resource Administration: Manage project budgets, oversee procurement processes, and ensure cost-efficiency with effective resource allocation.
- Progress Tracking and Control: Supervise all workstream progress, address challenges proactively, conduct regular reviews, and generate collaborator progress reports.
- Risk Management and Compliance: Identify potential risks, develop mitigation plans, and ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Operational Implementation and Handover: Oversee commissioning and ramp-up phases to ensure facilities reach full operational capacity, while ensuring seamless handover to operations teams with proper documentation and training.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related required; Masters degree preferred.
- 15 or more years of experience in manufacturing/operational leadership roles with experience in ramp up activities/processes. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
- Quality and Requirements & Optimization (R&O) management experience required.
- Proven capability in coordinating intricate projects with numerous workstreams and collaborators; Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera); Certifications like PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) are highly desirable.
- Exceptional problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills. English skills, verbal and written. German is a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively and spend ~75% at project site until project is closed or relocate to the project site.
